Emily is a multidisciplinary artist whose work is in collections all over the world from the USA to South America, Europe and Australia. She was born in Greenwich, CT, but now calls Greenville, S.C. home.

Artist Statement
I live to create, and I create to delight.

Primarily, I work in collections – such as my Enchanted Garden and Undercurrents abstract series – which are inspired both by my love of nature, as well as my desire to explore and push the boundaries of materials that fascinate me.

I have loved nature‘s beauty since my childhood when I grew up near a large lush pond in woody Connecticut, and where my parents invented magical tales to tell my brother and me. These stories conjured a fantastical kingdom of nature that have entranced me ever since. My thoughts are never far from that secret world by the pond with all its colors.

My travels have also had a great influence. The lush gardens of England, where I lived for seven years and where my father was born, are part of my DNA. Also, the vivid waters and sea life of the Great Barrier Reef holds sway upon my use of bold colors. Now, the canopy of trees and gardens in my new hometown of Greenville, SC inspire me every day.
